Hey everyone and thanks for your HUGE support of JuJu. This is so fun for me to help with! alt

There are other people involved too, but I'm doing most of the web design etc.

Anyway, we are considering having a donation service on JuJu to help support our community financially.

Right now we are paying "out of our pocket" for server hosting and advertising which brings more and more AWESOME members to JuJu, but we are losing money! Haha.

The ads you see on our site are covering just about 50% of our expenses right now.

So, we are considering creating a JuJu "donator" account, and having two account levels:

JuJu Standard Account (FREE)

  • 5 private message (sent) per day
  • 1 friend request (sent) per day
  • *unlimited private messages (received) per day
  • *unlimited friend requests (received) per day
  • *can access blog, photo albums, forum, groups
  • *can NOT access chat
  • *must view ads

JuJu Donor Account ($1/month via Paypal subscription)

  • 10 private messages (sent) per day
  • 5 friend requests (sent) per day
  • *unlimited private messages (received) per day
  • *unlimited friend requests (received) per day
  • *can access blog, photo albums, forum, groups
  • *can access chat
  • *no ads (so, faster page loading)
  • *feel good about helping JuJu grow!

This type of system will also help our site quality stay higher... scare away the spammers and scammers too!

What do you guys think? If a few people can offer feedback to this idea, we sure would appreciate it.

Thank you and great to have everyone here. Hope you are having fun.

JJ

I believe this is unfair to your younger users..... Not all of our parents are willing to pay for this
